Art Happenings at Oak Grove Middle School

CAA wishes our community a wonderful end of 2024 and peace and cultural abundance in 2025. We can't think of a better way to ring out the old into the new than to share notes and artwork from Diane Logan's Oak Grove Middle School class. Diane is a CAA Teacher's Grant recipient who used the micro grant for a collaborative stepping-stone project to help bridge her students' transition from middle school to high school this fall. Diane writes:

...we want to share with you the steps, pun intended, we did to create our stepping stones. The kids really had a great time creating, collaborating and laughing together, This was a great way to start the school year off and to give them something to leave behind when they promote to high school.

We love hearing from teachers and students who are making art. The CAA Teacher Grant program is part of our mission to support arts education in our schools. With these micro grants, MDUSD teachers can purchase art supplies for classroom projects. Find out more here.
