Community Outreach
The Concord Art Association is a California 501c3 nonprofit group that supports and engages local artists to collectively enrich our community through art education, exhibits, special events, and outreach programs. Founded in 1963, CAA is the oldest art association in Contra Costa County. Members are artists, art students, supporters of the arts, organizations, and residents of the greater Concord area.
CAA and its members regularly collaborate with organizations and schools to ensure everyone in our community has access to art. Our outreach efforts include:

CAA Sponsored Grants and Scholarships
Teacher's Grant Program
Each year teachers in Mt. Diablo School District are invited to apply for micro grants for the purchase of art supplies for classroom projects. The Teacher’s Grant Program began in 2018.

CAA Scholarship for art students
Each year art majors at local junior collages are invited to apply by submitting images of their best work and completing a personal essay. Awards are based on the quality of work, the content of the essay, and feedback from instructors.
